March 2022 eNewsletter

14 March 2022
Every week there are more boats out on the water and boatyards are busier – sure signs that spring is in the air. And it's not just leisure boats, the cruise ship arrivals diary is filling up too. It’s looking like 2022 could be a good year for Cowes Harbour.

With spring refits in mind, we're supporting The Green Blue's Protect, Collect, Dispose best practice guide for antifouling. These simple steps (see more below) can significantly reduce the impact of antifouling on the environment. Even small changes make a change for good.

We are trying to make positive changes across the organisation - for the environment, for our people, for infrastructure and, most importantly, for harbour users and the wider Cowes and East Cowes communities. Some changes, like the new boatyard code of conduct at Kingston, are already in place. But there's more to come.

Our longer-term aspirations and objectives are set out in the 2022-27 strategy, which will be published shortly. As a newsletter subscriber, you'll receive the strategy document by email as soon as it is available.
