Notice is hereby given that due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak Cowes Harbour Commission are implementing the follow measures:
Masters of vessels calling into Cowes, in all circumstances, are to submit their
Maritime Declaration Health (MDH) to their Appointed Agent. The Appointed Agents will forward the MDH on to the appropriate authorities.
In the MDH the Master of the vessel should also indicate the origin of the ship, when it left the origin port, and all ports where the vessel has docked during the 14 days prior to arrival. Ships must also
report anyone on board the vessel who has in the last 14 days been to a country or area with a high risk of coronavirus - see coronavirus advice for travellers - or if they have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 infection within the 14 days prior to the vessel arriving in Cowes.
Advice is also available from the
NHS online coronavirus service if anyone has been to one of the identified places in the last 14 days. Every effort is being made to ensure that Cowes Pilots sent to ships have not been to a country or area with a high risk of coronavirus or been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 infection within the last 14 days.
