Local Notice to Mariners 39(T) of 2020 is hereby cancelled.
Notice is hereby given that the below information should be consulted to ensure compliance with recreational boating rules during the COVID-19 pandemic.
From
5th January 2021 England will enter a state of
national lockdown. Therefore, until further notice Cowes Harbour Commission’s (CHC) sites; Shepards Marina in Cowes, Cowes Harbour Services Boatyard at Kingston Wharf, East Cowes and the Harbour Office at Town Quay will be closed. Access to residents’ boats can be pre-arranged on an individual basis.
As previously under Tier 4 restrictions,
no overnight or short stay berthing will be allowed at CHC’s visitor pontoons including Trinity Landing, Shepards Marina, and all CHC visitor pontoons on the river at Whitegates and the Folly.
ALL visitors are to be reminded to check the national lockdown restrictions on the GOV.UK website before proceeding with any journey. Whilst under national lockdown conditions,
you must not leave your home unless you have a valid reason (for example, for work or education purposes).
