The Little Britain regatta raises thousands of pounds annually for sailing charities, for example the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, the Cirdan Sailing Trust, the 1851 Trust, the RNLI, as well as a host of other Isle of Wight sailing related charities.
For 2018 Little Britain raised funds for two additional sailing charities, Turn to Starboard and the Rona Sailing Project. Little Britain will continue to support T2S and RSP in 2019.
Over the past 30 years, surplus profits and donations have been shared between the charities and in that time the Little Britain Challenge Cup has raised over £1.25 million.
