"It was my pleasure yesterday to attend disabled sailor Natasha Lambert's reception in Cowes with CHC Commissioner Jeremy Dale of SeaSafe, one of Miss Isle's
sponsors, in advance of her departure on a month-long 'Sea and Summit' challenge to raise money for charity," writes Cowes Harbour Master Capt. Stuart McIntosh
. "We wish her very well in her extraordinary sailing and mountain climbing endeavours.
"The Cowes breakwater build continues apace and progresses according to plan; do read our update opposite.
"As I write, we have 9 days to go until Cowes Week; our Kingston Marine Services afloat team has laid extra moorings to accommodate many of the 700 yachts entered in the regatta so far, with Cowes Harbour Moorings having, to date, sold over 210 berths for the event.
"Please take time to read our Notices to Mariners to ensure you are fully up-to-date on all the latest navigational information for the harbour. Let's hope the fair weather continues into August with some good sailing breezes for racing."
