August 2013 CHC Newsletter

13 August 2013
“Another busy Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week sailing regatta has just drawn to a close and reports suggest that it was a good week for many,” writes Capt. Stuart McIntosh, Cowes Harbour Master.

“I would particularly like to thank the whole Cowes Harbour Commission team for their contribution towards making the event a safe and enjoyable one for the thousands of competitors and visitors who came to Cowes.

“Once again, we were delighted to host our Cowes Week reception at Northwood House, and our Chairman, Roger Mathias, had the pleasure of addressing guests on the evening. Exactly one year on from the launch of our Cowes Breakwater Project prospectus during Cowes Week 2012, it was tremendous to be able to share the news that funding is now in place following confirmation of the Homes and Communities Agency £3.16m investment into the Breakwater Project. It was also an opportunity for us to thank guests for their valuable support over the past 12 months whilst CHC was working to secure this funding."
